According to a report from Harper’s Bazaar, Keira Knightley is now pregnant with her second child. People Magazine and E! Online claims the actress was at a party in France last night in a white gown.
This will be Mrs. Knightley’s second baby with her man and husband, James Righton, following the birth of their baby girl in 2015. Thus far, neither parties speaking on their behalf have commented on the new pregnancy.
On the 2nd of May, paparazzi spotted Righton holding hands with the mother of his children at the Place Vendome. They’ve been married for approximately six years and welcomed their baby into the world in 2015.
Coincidentally, the announcement of her second pregnancy was around the same time as Blake Lively, who showed off her third pregnancy with husband Ryan Reynolds.
In the past, Keira has been nothing but candid when discussing what it’s like to get pregnant as well as her experiences with the challenges brought by motherhood.
In October of last year, for instance, she published an essay about childbirth and also called out Kate Middleton for leaving the hospital wearing makeup and heels after giving birth. Keira accused Middleton of creating unrealistic standards for women and mothers.
However, other people online accused Keira of merely being jealous, and not understanding that Middleton felt the pressure to meet the beauty standards of the general public.
Keira insinuated in her essay that Kate was faking being glamorous for the sake of “male photographers” and the objectifying standards of the entertainment industry in a male-dominated society. Moreover, Keira wrote a graphic description of the process of giving birth, contrasting the conditions of childbirth with the way Kate looked when she got out of the hospital.
As fans of the actress know, she is an advocate for women’s rights and has, on more than one occasion, criticized the way in which women are portrayed in the entertainment industry. Following her role in King Arthur, Keira was unhappy with producers who supposedly made her breasts look large on the poster.
