Woody Allen Teases Trailer For His Latest Film That Was Dropped By Amazon Studios - A Rainy Day In New York - kkccb.net

According to a report from People.com, Woody Allen released a trailer on his social media for the romantic comedy, A Rainy Day In New York, starring Timothee Chalamet and Selena Gomez, Liev Schreiber, Diego Luna, Jude Law, as well as Elle Fanning.

The movie was actually finished back in 2017, however, its release in the United States was delayed following Amazon Studio’s decision to cancel their distribution of the movie following the scrutiny that Allen came under for the decades-old allegations against him made by Dylan Farrow.

As followers of Allen know, he has denied wrongdoing on multiple occasions and hasn’t been charged with a crime either, however, critics vehemently believe Allen did sexually abuse his adopted daughter as a young girl.

Woody Allen supposedly sexually abused his adopted daughter, Dylan Farrow, when she was a young girl, and the babysitter is reported to have accused Allen of “acting strangely” toward Dylan. The babysitter said Woody was on his knees and had his head in the young girl’s lap.

When Mia Farrow asked Dylan about Woody’s behavior, she supposedly told her that Woody had touched her “private parts.” Moreover, it was stated in court documents that Dylan wasn’t wearing any underwear under her dress, which was strange.

As a consequence of these resurfaced allegations, Amazon canceled their deal with him because of a fear of backlash in the middle of the #MeToo era.

An official spokesperson for Amazon claimed that it wasn’t the allegations themselves, but Allen’s comments toward the #MeToo movement that sparked their problem. A rep said in their statement that Allen’s comments made it impossible for them to continue their deal.

The Hollywood Reporter reported that the film would open in theaters on the 3rd of October, except not in the United States or in North America, but in Italy.

On his Facebook this past weekend, Allen said the official trailer for his film had been released. The message came alongside a 90-second preview that shows college students embarking on a journey into Manhattan so a woman can speak with an iconic director.
