Nipsey Hussle has collaborated with DJ Khaled on a track that was titled Higher. They even filmed a music video together, and they have been on set not long before Nipsey was killed about a month and a half ago.
Now, Khaled shared the most emotional message on his social media account.
He announced everyone that all the people who have been involved in the production of the song agreed to forgo their profits in order to donate all the money from the single to Nip’s two kids.
‘Recently, I embarked on a soul-searching journey down a road I never thought I would travel in a million years,’ Khaled wrote.
He continued and said, ‘It began when a tragedy robbed the world of an enlightened soul, a brother, a father, a partner and my friend, Nipsey Hussle. Just days prior, he shared his energy and positivity with me on a video set for a song called ‘Higher.’ After much prayer and reflection; and with the full blessing of the Asghedom family, I am sharing that moment with the world.’

Someone commented ‘Khaled got this all the way right! So tasteful! 💙’ and another follower said ‘Very beautiful ❤️ those kids will always be taken care of. The world loves them.’
A follower posted ‘DJ Khaled is doing the right thing by giving the proceeds from his song with Nipsey to his children. It’s not what Reggie Bush was doing. Although! I think Reggie had good intentions. The family didn’t want handouts. Regarding this, it’s No handout, this is Nispey at work. Khaled is doing the righteous thing by making sure the kids get the proceeds from their song.’
A commenter praised DJ Khaled: ‘Khaled always been a real one. Met him & his kindness is not an act. Salute to him ✊🏾💯 #TMC.’
One person said ‘I swear every time I try to get un-sad about Nipsey something comes up and I’m hit w it again… you will be missed forever nip we love you.’
What DJ Khaled and the other people involved in the creation of Higher did is amazing, indeed. Congratulations and let’s continue to keep Nip’s loved ones lifted in prayer.
