Beyonce’s 2018 Coachella performance is now legendary, however, it was no easy feat. The star recently admitted in her new Netflix documentary, Homecoming, that she had dropped carbs, alcohol, dairy, and meat in order to prepare.
Reported first by The Daily Mail, Beyonce explained her intense training regiment which included, essentially, only vegetables, water, and not much else.
“I’m hungry,” the star joked in the recap. Reportedly, the new Netflix feature follows Beyonce across an eight-month period in which she prepares to take the center stage at Coachella.
Fans know that Beyonce is no stranger to challenges. The previous year, in 2017, Jay and Bey announced the upcoming birth of their two twins, Rumi and Sir Carter. It was a pregnancy that was incredibly difficult for her, the star explained.
“It’s not like before when I could rehearse 15 hours straight,” the superstar added. She now has a family, a husband, and she has to take care of her body. Beyonce said she has no interest in pushing herself in the same way again because it’s simply not needed. She has a family now and doesn’t have to prove herself.
As it was previously reported, Beyoncé revealed her pregnancy complications as well as in the new Netflix documentary. In fact, she even had to get an emergency C-section because one of her children’s hearts stopped beating.
Her struggles didn’t go unnoticed, however, as she currently has the most liked Instagram post of all time, accruing millions of likes within days of first posting it. Previously, Beyonce posted a picture of her baby bump on social media which subsequently went viral in a manner that the world has never seen.
Thankfully, multiple reports have claimed Beyonce and Jay’s three children are healthy and doing well. Blue Ivy, their first child, 7, can be seen singing in the documentary, telling her mother, “It feels good!” Since Bey and Jay announced two new additions to their family, social media has continued its interest in the expansion of the Knowles/Carter family.
