Sophie Turner Claims She Doesn"t Care That Kit Harington Made More Money Than Her On GOT - kkccb.net

Sophie Turner, the star of Game Of Thrones, recently sat down with reporters from Harper’s Bazaar UK, where the GOT alum dished on why Kit Harington makes more money than her, and why she isn’t bothered by it. According to Fox News, Sophie said to interviewers that the situation was “tricky.”

The 23-year-old said to the reporter that Kit made more money than her for a simple reason, he has a “bigger storyline,” and thus more screentime, so that means more work, and therefore more money. Sophie said, “and for the last series, he had something crazy like 70 shoots, and I didn’t have that many.”

Turner joked that she told him he could have every last cent because she wasn’t working as much as he was. On the other hand, Turner does believe the times are changing for women in Hollywood, as employers tend to listen more when females want higher salaries.

Regarding the #MeToo movement, Sophie explained that she definitely had moments where something inappropriate happened, but nothing was ever that extreme as Harvey Weinstein, for instance. Sophie explained that almost every person she met has some kind of a story to tell.

The star added that she thinks everyone is a “bit terrified,” and whoever is committing those crimes should be taken to a court of law and be persecuted to the full extent of the law. “It’s great that these things have happened,” the actress remarked.

Turner is obviously referring to the #MeToo movement which took off in late 2017, beginning with the producer, Harvey Weinstein. The New York Times and The New Yorker were the first the outlets to expose Weinstein’s behavior.

However, one could argue the beginnings of the movement first took shape with Bill Cosby back in 2014, when it was revealed that he had been abusing women for years. The comedian, Hannibal Buress, just so happened to have a skit go viral in which he joked about The Cosby Show alum.

Thus far, we’ve seen charges laid on a few different men in the MeToo era, including Bill Cosby, Harvey Weinstein, and Kevin Spacey. The movement spawned an organization called, #TimesUp, which is dedicated to equality in the workplace.
